Deacon Billy talked about this at our Church service at FBC in Glenwood, New Mexico this past Sunday. Deacon Bill encouraged us all to pray that more Baby Boxes will be placed all over New Mexico! Thank you for this update Sister Ethel! How your area? Please contact Ethel or your Fire Department, I pray every village, town and city will have a safe haven baby box. It is our Christian duty to help God’s babies with everything we got! What are you doing to help God’s babies? Every Church should have a baby box.

The Blessing of Our First Baby Box in Espanola

Hello Everyone,
What an honor it was to be present at the blessing and dedication of the first Safe Haven Baby Box in our state.
After three years of work on this project Assistant Chief John Wickersham saw his dream of having a Baby Box in his fire station in Espanola become a reality.
Among many dignitaries was Monica Kelsey the founder of the Safe Haven Baby Boxes. We had the privilege of hearing her testimony of being abandoned as a baby.
Mayor Javier Martinez and the city council were instrumental in making this project possible. They along with Assitant Chief Wickersham worked side by side for the past year and after the incident in Hobbs, they moved quickly to bring it about.
We are excited because many other communities are now working hard to raise money to bring a Baby Box to their communities. Although the Governor has pledged money for Baby Boxes in every county, many prefer to raise the money themselves to be free from government involvement. Whether they choose to use government funds or raise the money themselves, more lives will be saved, and for this, we rejoice.
