Why Are Christians So Mean?

FGGAM Shares a Biblical Worldview Everyday:

“The Biblical worldview says there is a God—One who is personal, powerful and caring—who created the world and everything in it. It states unequivocally that man is created in God’s image, living in essence as God’s co-regent over creation. Mankind—born and unborn, rich and poor, able and disabled—has intrinsic worth. Almighty God is a sovereign God, ruler over nations, states, empires, and governments. He is to be worshiped and obeyed through the precepts and principles revealed in His infallible Word. He not only exists, but He is sovereign over all of history according to His wisdom and purposes, and He is intimately involved in every aspect of life.”

Franklin Graham, “A Biblical Worldview in Today’s Culture”

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.

A Final Charge to Timothy

10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  1. 2 Timothy 3:17 Or that you, a man of God,

In the 60’s we called the following ‘tough love’………..

I have witnessed so many Christians being MEAN and using foul language. Just look at all so called Christian politicians that use foul language and do nasty things. Both the GOP and Dems have too many of them. ONE IS TOO MANY! This is just one of the reason I am an registered Independent. I will not be associated with such dysfunction, it would be like me being a member of a dysfunctional Church! I have been an Independent since 1995, I think. I am a man of God, not politics. The two party system is broken, it is helping destroy America. I vet my candidates through God’s Word, so many fail to get past that test. You may, or may not be surprised by this, but many do not attend Church.

Politics is so very dirty in America, there is way more darkness than light. Look for the ones that are Biblically sound. Pray to God to show you who to vote for. The last 7 years has been a nightmare in our Country.

So many so called Christians drink political Kool-Aid, they should be drinking from the cup of JESUS! So many use foul language on Facebook and post nasty things, but they proclaim to be a Christian. They show an unbelieving world just what it wants to see from Christians! They are chasing many away from the Church! Do people see Jesus in you? Today, look into the mirror, search your soul, pray….do people see Jesus in you? Facebook has helped me take the ‘spiritual temperature’ of folks.

One morning when the great man of God, evangelist Smith Wigglesworth came downstairs after a night of sleep after a revival, he was yelling and crying. Wigglesworth said, “I don’t what people to see Wigglesworth! I want them to see JESUS in me!” Amen! That is also my prayer for my life. I preached on this last Sunday at FBC in Glenwood, NM.

Too many Christians have shown HATE TO THE WORLD!

Thank the LORD, that Sharon and I are surrounded by beautiful people of God.

The title of the message from Gary Thomas in CHURCHLEADERS is WHY ARE CHRISTIANS SO MEAN?  A must read for all Christians. Here at FGGAM we do not allow meanness, we do allow salt, however.

More Here

You can disagree with me and I will not cuss at you, or yell at you. We can agree to disagree. I am not a popular in this world, I have learned to live with that. I have always gone against the grain since I was a little boy. That is how God has made me! People made fun of me when I was a little boy, and it took awhile for me to get over that, but God has grown me up and given me a great wife in Sharon and many close friends. I have been one that is always for the underdog.

One of my best friends ever, Richard Griffin of Albuquerque really nailed it when he sent me this letter:

I am writing to you for several reasons ( too numerous to go into here) however, my primary purpose is to simply say thank you.  I have known you for many many years ( to many to mention) and followed FGGAM from its genesis.  The world today saddens me, and you can’t turn to any other source for honest, moral and ethical, and timely news.  I have reached such a point of disgust with the liberal media that I do not feel as though we can get a true unbiased report.  I have chosen to turn off all media and do my own research and follow only a very few select outlets, FGGAM being one of those.  The need for hope right now is higher now than at any point in my history.  Our belief allows us to continue in the shadow of Christ knowing we are always protected and that no matter how bad this earth might get, we have hope.  You bring that hope, you deliver that every day in how you present and discern information.  That does not mean you paint a Rose color picture of reality but rather an honest approach with a Christian solution.  I guess what I’m trying to say is FGGAM is a great source of education, information, opinion, and spiritual guidance.  If there is anything that I may not agree with (rarely though that may be) I can simply agree to disagree.  Something that our terribly divided nation has lost the ability to do civilly.

I cannot tell you how much I have valued you and Sharon’s friendship over the years but more importantly how much I appreciate you and FGGAM’s leadership in these dark times.  Just like the lighthouse that provides the necessary guidance in poor weather for ships at sea, FGGAM gives us something to look forward to everyday no matter how bad current events might be at that time.  Regardless of current events both good and bad, FGGAM never loses its focus and knows full well that your spiritual health and commitment to God Almighty is paramount above all else.  I consider myself fortunate to be a contributing member and feel like the growth of FGGAM over the last many years will be exponential in the coming years as those who walk in darkness seek out Light. You Dewey and Sharon, with FGGAM, are that Beacon!

Good Luck Dewey, Sharon, and FGGAM in the future and thank you for your undying commitment to Christianity,

God Bless, Richard D. Griffin, Albuquerque, New Mexico
