From Our Dear Friends at National Day of Prayer!!! We pray that you will be taking part in prayer for our nation.
Friend —
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2:6-7 NASB
Truly God has prepared us! We are just one week away from seeing God raise up and rally prayer gatherings throughout our nation, from community to community and from coast to coast and beyond. Millions of people in tens of thousands of local community events are prepared to come together to join their hearts and voices in prayer – then at 8 pm ET, tens of millions from over 200 countries, connected by television, radio, social media and websites, are prepared to pray together with the National Day of Prayer Broadcast – exalting the Lord Who has established us!

As we prepare for gathering next week, let’s also prepare our hearts for God to will and to work through us in the midst of it all. Please pray with me … Father, we come before you with a heart to exalt You, to glorify Your Name, and to stand in the gap for our nation. Lord, our leaders and our culture need You. As we gather next week to pray, pour out your love, compassion and concern into our hearts. Cleanse us of all fear and unbelief, and instill us with faith to believe that you are God Almighty, and that Your Words are faithful and true – that “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” In Jesus name, amen.
In Christ,
Dion Elmore
Vice President, National Day of Prayer Task Force

2022 National Day of Prayer Broadcast
About the National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.
