Trusting God in uncertain times

Connie Keyohara

Do you struggle with trusting God completely?

I believe everyone does at some point in their lives. I know I do.

And because life can be really hard sometimes, I’m sure it happens more often than we care to admit.

When you don’t feel the Fathers hand, it’s extremely important that you  trust the Fathers heart.

When what he’s doing doesn’t make any sense, you have to say, “I don’t get it, but I’m going to trust you, Lord.”

The truth is that we have no idea of all the things God is doing in and through our trials.

I have to learn to trust that God is at work in my life, every day, even when I can’t see it.

You may only see a small part of what God is doing in your life, the part you do see may make absolutely no sense to you at all.

I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Jeremiah 32:27

But when times are hard, when the world feels like its caving in on us, it’s even more important as followers of God to trust Him and make it our first priority not our last choice.

When life is hard and things just keep getting worse each day, it’s even more necessary to stand firmly on the foundation we’ve built on Christ.

God doesn’t expect us to ignore our feelings or what’s happening around us.

And He’s not pretending that everything is good when it isn’t.

What He is expecting though,  is for us to turn to him and to realize our need for Him, alone.

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”

Psalm 143:8

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

We can’t trust someone we do not know. When it comes to trusting God, it’s important to understand why we should trust Him in the first place.

Simply put, we should trust God because He is worthy of our trust. He’s proven that over and over.

And….we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”

Romans 8:28

Many Blessings,

Connie
