And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
1 John 4:3
The word antichrist means; “against Christ.”
Satan opposes Christ, and he desires to deceive people into a false view of who Jesus really is. The spirit of the antichrist teaches against Christ. He twists and adds to the the truth about Jesus Christ.
He teaches that there are other ways to God other than Jesus.
When Jesus himself said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
His goal is to spread lies about Christ, to stop us from worshiping Christ and to keep people in darkness.
Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
2 John 1:7
Some of the spirits can be really obvious in their tactics, while others will be quiet and sneaky.
Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.
1 John 2:22
Anyone that preaches anything other than Jesus Christ of Nazareth and He alone crucified, is preaching something contrary to Christ.
Anyone that takes from the gospel or adds to it to fit their agenda or to pacify their sin, is anti -Christ.
👉🏻Even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!
Galatians 1:8
Now, the good news is….
As believers, in order to keep from falling into this crazy, lying, God hating faction, we must know Christ well!
The anti Christ is a counterfeit! He’s a liar. He takes everything God created and uses it for his own nasty self. He uses it to promote sin and to symbolize his own demonic agenda.
The only way to recognize a counterfeit, is to know the real deal. Know Christ and know him well. Then, when someone comes at you, whether its blatantly done or subtly done… you’ll already know the truth.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
John 10:27-28
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world”
1 John 4:4
Remember, know God well and seek his face. This way, when the lies come at you or someone presents a half truth or partial, twisted scripture, you’ll know the real truth. If what they’re presenting is not in scripture, RUN from that teaching!
