I love that Dr. Laura Lewis talks about building bridges rather than walls. America is filled with walls of hate, just look at our political system in America, it is broken, the Dems and GOP are filled with hate, no bridges, just walls and walls of hate. No Reagan and Tip O’Neill! (I know I am old, but it is important for you younger folks to know what President Reagan of the GOP and Tip O’Neill of the Dems, achieved) Also no Billy Graham!!!! More importantly, ABOVE ALL! The love of Jesus is missing! NO PEACE! I am so very sick and tired of reading on Facebook, the very immature, hateful comments from younger Republicans in New Mexico who are running for office. If they ever expect to bring peace and unity to our Country, that is not the way to do it. You do not gain unity by hate, you gain it by building love and trust. It does not take any intelligence at all to spew out hate. I grew up with a Mom and Dad that would always tells us, “Behave yourself.” I have made a life of building bridges of love and trust, I am not always successful, but it is what God has called me to do. I am an Independent man of God, I do not favor the GOP or Dems. I look for the fruit in all people. I also ask, Lord, are they filled with the Holy Spirit? It makes it hard to vote. I always call on God to guide me.
The majority of America is looking in all the wrong places for a PEACEMAKER! It is not in politics, it is in Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! A new high of 29% of Americans say the Bible is a collection of “fables, legends, history and moral precepts recorded by man”
America has to much politics and hate and not enough JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!
What are you doing to bring peace to this issue?
I am not here to give you a political worldview, I have been called by GOD to offer you a BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW!
From Dr. Laura Lewis: What Women Who Have Had Abortions Need From Your Church
My hope is that we can step back from the battlefield of ideology and return to a common-sense perspective that builds bridges rather than walls. The language of this debate can be harsh and angry. Let’s change the sound. Let’s speak words that allow diverse opinions without being disrespectful. Let’s speak words of grace and kindness.
I believe it is doable.
“Many women might fear that they’re not financially ready or emotionally prepared. They might not be happy with the partner they’re with, or they might feel ashamed to be pregnant. And so if no one’s there to really help them envision a different future or to walk with them through some of their challenging circumstances, they will just be reacting to their fear and make a decision based on their current circumstances and perspective.”
“When we start talking about this in the church, it’s good to have an understanding that for many women it’s not that they actually ever wanted an abortion, but they end up feeling like that’s maybe their only choice.”
“Today there are a lot of clanging symbols surrounding this topic, so I pray that we will not be part of the noise.”
