The GOP has become a mess….pretty soon Mark Twain’s quote of years ago will apply: “The only difference between the Democrats and Republicans is the spelling.” The huge problem the GOP has in my mind, is the HATE that they spew! The support for foul mouthed  politicians! The division that they suffer from! How many parties has the GOP been divided into? 3? I do not agree with Tony Perkins on one thing! That one thing is the respect for the GOP is not high, it is low, as it is for Dems. The majority of people I talk to have had it with both parties! I do not know this GOP party, I have not for several years, it went bonkers! Jan. 6th still lingers in my heart and soul! HORRIBLE!!! There will continue to be fall out from that evil day. The Dems are long lost. The two party system has been broken for years. We need a strong third party that can bring America together, and not at war with itself. AMERICA NEEDS JESUS! Too many of these politicians think they are above GOD ALMIGHTY! More than a few have a screw loose. President Reagan would not recognize today’s GOP!

Tony Perkins, president of the socially conservative think-tank Family Research Council, has cautioned that support for the Respect for Marriage Act could “eat into the margins the GOP needs in November,” referring to the upcoming midterm elections. “If Republicans want to stick their finger in the cultural winds to decide where they stand on timeless truths, then they are throwing away everything the American people have come to respect about today’s party—their courage, their common sense, their conviction,” Perkins wrote

On the heels of the Democrat-controlled House passing the “Respect for Marriage Act” last week, at least five Senate Republicans have indicated that they plan to support the measure. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Thom Tillis, R-N.C., Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, and Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., are reportedly in favor of backing the same-sex marriage bill.
