God loves you fiercely

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 139:13

By this, we know that God knows us intimately and before we were even made alive in the flesh, God had a plan for our lives.

He chose our hair color, the color of our eyes, our gender and he had all this planned from the very beginning.

We were valuable to God before our lives even begin. We were on his mind the whole time! As he formed us, he did it with love and we were made perfect in his eyes.

God loves you Just the way you are, you don’t have to be perfect or have everything all together. You don’t have to get clean before you come to him. Just come to him, he does the rest.

Often times, people think they have to clean up their act, get straight and get right, before they can even approach him.

But the whole point of him going to Calvary, was to redeem us of our sins.

He came to pay a debt he did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay.

Often times, we doubt the love of God because of the brokenness and unforgiveness we may have with ourselves, and that can cause us to doubt why God would choose to love us.

But remember what we read earlier, while we were still in our mothers womb, he knit us together. He thought of us even then.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8

So, if you’re feeling like you’ve done something very wrong, something you’re ashamed of, something you’re worried others may find out about, worry no more. The moment Jesus went to the cross he took your guilt and shame. When it comes up again, it’s the devil bringing it up. Because God said he would remember it no more. It’s in the deepest ocean, as far as the east is from the west.

Once you’ve confessed it , it’s over.

“But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”

Psalm 86:15

Though we were sinners, Christ sacrificed his life and suffered on the cross for us. There is no greater love than this!

“If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning… Face it, friend. He is crazy about you!”

-Max Lucado

Jesus on the cross is the ultimate picture of God’s love (his only son) and it’s also the window into the heart of God who doesn’t just show love, but He is love.

Anyone who believes in Him will be rewarded with a love that’s sweeter than anything. ❤️

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

Many Blessings,

Connie
