FGGAM STATEMENT OF FAITH:
God’s Word is the final authority for faith and life.
as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
FGGAM Shares a Biblical Worldview Everyday:
“The Biblical worldview says there is a God—One who is personal, powerful and caring—who created the world and everything in it. It states unequivocally that man is created in God’s image, living in essence as God’s co-regent over creation. Mankind—born and unborn, rich and poor, able and disabled—has intrinsic worth. Almighty God is a sovereign God, ruler over nations, states, empires, and governments. He is to be worshiped and obeyed through the precepts and principles revealed in His infallible Word. He not only exists, but He is sovereign over all of history according to His wisdom and purposes, and He is intimately involved in every aspect of life.”
Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13–16 speaks of God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21:22–25 prescribes the same penalty—death—for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This law and its punishment clearly indicate that God considers a baby in the womb to be just as much a human being as a full-grown adult. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of a woman’s right to choose to have a baby. The baby is already present and living. Abortion is a matter of the life or death of a human being made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26–27; 9:6).
What does the Bible say about abortion? Simply put, abortion is murder. It is the killing of a human being created in the image of God.
Mark Twain once started: “The only difference between a Republican and Democrat is the spelling.” That was before abortion, now here in 2022 the GOP is becoming more and more like the DEMS.
Republicans are squabbling over policy and messaging surrounding abortion amid mounting evidence that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is hurting the GOP ahead of midterms. America needs a third party badly, a party that stands on the Word of God. A Biblical Worldview.
I am very sick and tired with politicians and using God’s babies as pawns! How awful is that!!!!!!! But it is the world we live in! The GOP is taking dumb pills after Roe v. Wade was upended! The GOP celebrated when the Supreme Court made its ruling, but since then it is compromising the lives of GOD’S BABIES! I am tired of this! New Mexico GOP candidate for Governor Mark Ronchetti seems to be reaching for anything to get elected, he wants to appease everybody! God creates life! We are talking about GOD ALMIGHTY! What do you not understand Mr. Ronchetti and all those who want to negotiate about the lives of GOD’S babies! This is evil! Your trying to negotiate with GOD!!! I am neither a Republican or Democrat, I am a man of God. I take a Biblical Worldview, not a political worldview. Both parties have become so very dysfunctional. Once again voters are faced with the lesser of two evils. America needs a strong third party so very badly!
I do not play games with lives. I stand on the Word of God. It is the same thing with the GOP playing with the lives of the immigrants and busing them around America! This is evil behavior. The GOP and DEMS are both guilty of ‘kicking the can’ of immigration down the road for so many years! Both parties have failed big time on this issue! You do not use people as pawns! This is what happens when poor leadership on both sides. America should have had the immigration issue all sorted out many years ago!
What has happened to the GOP? Ronchetti does not even know what the wording of his ‘abortion amendment’ will be!!!! Story Here
Ronchetti is not pro-life, he supports abortion up to 15 weeks! These politicians that try to negotiate with God on the life of His babies will answer to God Almighty.
Last week I asked Ethel Maharg who is the Director of New Mexico Right to Life to write about Ronchetti’s proposed amendment:
Courage by Ethel Maharg
I’ve been asked what I think about Mark Ronchetti’s proposal for a constitutional amendment that would put abortion on the ballot and the people would decide.
This is not new, in fact Larry Marker who is a write in candidate for Public Land Commissioner attempted to put forth a referendum that would have put abortion on the ballot this election season. Unfortunately, Maggie Toulouse Oliver stood in his way sending it to the Supreme Court where they sided with her, and it is still up in the air today.
This amendment would take it out of Mark’s hands and give it to the people absolving him of any responsibility should it not go well, and he would be off the hook. This isn’t leadership.
What I’m going to say next applies not just to Mark but so many currently serving candidates, and I’m certain it will not sit well with many, but that has never been my concern. I have never been politically correct, so why start now? In the last 2 months we spent it chasing down currently serving candidates (not all) who say they are pro-life and even have voting records to prove it, but they would not fill out our questionnaire. Some flat refused. I was told they were directed not to. I continue to ask myself, what is it with sitting legislators that causes them to believe they are absolved from taking a stand?
By contrast those who have never served (again not all) got them to me with lightning speed. They are bold and steadfast in their stand for life, and I understand that they also got the memo. As you know when I ran for office there was no question in anyone’s mind where I stood and made no apologies for it. I filled out more questionnaires than I care to remember without a thought as to who it would offend. It is where I stand period. I do not understand the continual compromise thinking that it will help you to win. I can’t tell you how many times I heard that they weren’t going to mention life because they wanted to win. This has left me without words and for those who know me know, this doesn’t happen often.
A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Texas Alliance for Life and there was a picture of Governor Greg Abbott signing the ban on abortion bill, surrounded by an army of people. The article quoted them saying the reason they had passed this bill is because “they had made it a priority.” I sat and wept because I realized that this issue isn’t a priority for us either politically and sadly in the church. We have to get our 5-point sermons in without a mention of life except of course on Sanctity of Life Sunday. Again, I’m without words and deeply saddened.
What we need in this hour is courage in our leaders. Courage to stand even when no one stands with you and in the face of much opposition. Courage to lead, not take the path of least resistance. Courage to obey God rather than man.
