A Butterfly Dream

Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word (logos:spoken, something said), then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:31-32,36

In the wee hours of the morning I had a dream. There were hundreds of beautiful butterflies flying all around. They never settled, but flitted from place to place. The Lord said to me, “The butterflies are those of My children that don’t know who they are, and those who won’t sit with Me for longer than a few minutes because they are afraid of what I’ll say.”

He wants you to know you are free:

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

And again the Lord showed me a board with hundreds of butterflies pinned to it. He said, “These are My children who remain trapped in their own minds, not knowing Whose and who they are.”

My people are being destroyed because they don’t know Me. Oh, that we might know the LORD! Let us press on to know Him! Hosea 4:6a & 6:3a

Know Him to know who you are. You’re not condemned. You are not what you’ve done or what you do. Put the stick down and quit beating yourselves up.  Jesus Christ has set you free and His Spirit gives life to you. It’s so very important to get your mind renewed. When the Spirit shows you something, sit with Him and ask Him to see it as He does and to gain victory over it. Go with Him in the dark places, the hurt places, and allow Him to free you from them. If you’re not sure you’re hearing His voice, ask Him to help you hear Him better. He said that His sheep know His voice and He knows them. John 10:27 Ask Him to see as He does. Believe what He says to you and not the words from those who try to knock you down every step of the way. My friends, this includes yourself. Sometimes we’re our own worst enemy. Jesus Christ’s Spirit is in you.

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17

He wants you to rest:

And again the Lord reminded me of a time Ron and I were in the pool. I was swimming and he was on a float. A large, beautiful butterfly came and landed on Ron’s big toe and hung out for quite some time! The Lord said it represents those of His children that know He is safe and rest, leaning on Him and drawing strength from Him. It’s in the struggle that we grow as we turn to Him and trust Him, counting on Him to help us and teach us who we are and to set our minds free from old mind sets and memories.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

“You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life (existence; Him living in us, through us and with us).” John 5:39-40

He wants you to trust Him and let Him lead you into victory! Spirit tells Who Jesus is and reveals Christ in you. He’s your Helper and your Teacher.

When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not be presenting His own ideas; He will be telling you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. John 16:13

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don’t even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And He gave them right standing with Himself, and He promised them His glory. What can we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Romans 8:26-31

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered himself up for me. Galatians 2:20

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power (dunamis ; miraculous power, ability) may be of God and not from ourselves; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life (Zoe:of life or existence after rising from the dead, only of Christ) of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:7 & 10

Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Amen and so be it!

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Now I know that everything whatsoever you have given me is from your Presence. John 17:7

Beloved ones, you are: complete, Colossians 2:10; filled, Ephesians 3:19; One, 1 Corinthians 6:17; Lord fights for you, Exodus 14:14; Jesus prays for you, John 17:20-23; redeemed, Psalm 77:14-15

Amen and so be it!
