We all have to be very vigilant here in Albuquerque. Please be very aware of your surroundings. I advise not to be out at night in Albuquerque. A week ago I officiated the funeral service of a man shot in the back as he walked out of his apartment at night, the man passed away. The family has no idea what caused this murder. The man lived a good life. I am seeing first hand the destruction of families because of all the violence. I also officiated the funeral of a 20 year-old man shot in the stomach at a gas station in Albuquerque, he sadly passed away. I do not know how our police, fire, and EMT’s handle all this. If I was mayor I would order a 10 pm curfew. I would not be very popular at all! What is being done by city leaders is not working at all. I value human life over money and politics. Our police officers need support, they are overwhelmed! I beleive crime is going to get more violent as Christmas approaches. My heart is broken as I travel Albuquerque and see hopelessness in so many. The city prides itself in such things as new bike paths, a statue honoring TV stars of a meth show, the city council funds Planned Parenthood and Albuquerque is know as the abortion capitol. Albuquerque has a Spiritual problem, A JESUS problem as does all of America. It seems to me the City leaders honor everything BUT JESUS and life.
