Give Thanks And Look Up…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was reading this morning from Matthew 14 where Jesus fed the five thousand with five loaves and two fish. It was highlighted to me this morning as I read this very familiar story, that Jesus himself took the five loaves and two fish and looked up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He then passed the food to his disciples and fed the 5,000. They all ate and were satisfied and then the disciples picked up the 12 basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
Every day we should give thanks to God for everything we have. Even if we have little, God can make it much.
Let’s Pray:
Father, today we look up to the hills from where our help cometh. Our help cometh from the Lord maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121 tells us you will not let our foot slip—he who watches over us will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over us- the Lord is our shade at our right hand; the sun will not harm us by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep us from all harm and he will watch over our lives. The Lord will watch over our coming and going both now and forevermore.
Father, we lift what we have to you today and ask you to multiply it for your glory. May we give from the abundance as you tell us in John 10:10 that you have come to give us life and life more abundantly. Amen
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Give thanks and keep looking up!
