Pastor Steve Idleman:
Regardless of political affiliation, God supports the humble but resists the proud (cf. James 4:6). The answer to our national crisis is very simple, but it won’t be easy: Both the Left and the Right must get right with God. Are Both The Right and Left Wrong?

FGGAM STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are the inerrant, inspired, and infallible Word of God.
God’s Word is the final authority for faith and life.

UPDATED:

Moral and societal issues are worsening across the United States because Christians are becoming more “cultural” than “biblical,” and the country is facing God’s judgment as a result, according to pastor and bestselling author Tony Evans.

“We’ve been more cultural Christians than biblical Christians,” Evans, the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, told The Christian Post in a sit-down interview.

“Our identity is to be rooted in the Imago Dei, in the image of God. But we’ve gotten so ingrained in the thinking of the culture, that we wind up being parakeets to what the society is saying, rather than taking a solid, loving but clear stance on what God is saying,” he continued.

The 72-year-old founder and president of The Urban Alternative is the author of over 125 books, booklets and Bible studies. The first African American to earn a doctorate in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, he recently released an updated version of his 2015 book, Oneness Embraced: A Kingdom Approach to Race, Reconciliation, and Justice.

Bible reference – Exodus 20:13: “You shall not murder.”

Explanation: This is the shortest of all the commandments, having one less word than the eighth commandment. (Note: according to the King James Version.) God forbids murder, the unlawful taking of human life in private vengeance or otherwise.

Do you know that there are many thousands who have broken this commandment living at large in this country. And judging from past records, many thousands who will die at the hands of others. Do you beleive in God? Do you beleive in the Word of God?

I am a minority, only 37% of Pastors in America have a Biblical Worldview. That is from Barna Research. I stand with God Almighty, not politics. Study finds 37% of pastors have biblical worldview: Spiritual awakening ‘needed in our pulpits’

According to Pew Research, over the last three decades, many Americans have left Christianity to become part of the growing group of adults who identify as atheist, agnostic, or “nothing in particular.” This trend is changing religion in the U.S. and creating an unknown future for religion in America.

One Pew Research projection shows what would happen if in each new generation 31% of people raised in Christian homes became religiously unaffiliated by the age of 30. In this scenario, by 2070, only 46% of Americans would identify as Christian, making it no longer a majority.

I woke up so very happy this morning and I am hanging onto that happiness as best as I can with knowing America is all messed up. You have all these politicians, Dems and Republicans trying to define life. Here in New Mexico the GOP candidate Mark Ronchetti is for abortion up to 15 weeks, from his website: “Mark believes permitting abortion up to 15 weeks.” You still have time to change your mind Mr. Ronchetti and stand with God and His babies. The Democratic Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham supports abortion all the way and wants to build a 10 million tax payer abortion clinic in Las Cruces. They both are playing like they are God and telling God what life is. The Libertarian candidate Karen Bedione states she is pro life all the way, life takes place at conception. Many GOP folks are screaming  that a vote for Bedonie is a vote for Governor Michele Lujan Grisham. Whose fault is that? Mrs. Bedione has turned the political affairs in New Mexico upside down, maybe that’s what is needed??!! The GOP did not put up a Pro-life candidate. I got a text from a friend saying, Dewey, “We must vote for Ronchetti because Lujan Grisham is for abortion all the way and wants to build that 10 million dollar abortion clinic in Las Cruces.” Nobody tells me how to vote! GOD DOES! This is a test for Christians. I will not have the blood of God’s precious babies on my hands. I am praying to God who to vote for. I am not supporting any of the candidates or any political party. God determines life, not man. I am sick and tired of politicians telling me when life begins. All this mess comes when people leave God and define everything with the natural mind and not the mind of a Christian. Let me put it this way, God will have His way with New Mexico and all of America.

This is a time for many Pastors to speak up……I hear crickets……..the pulpit is silent in many Churches here in New Mexico and all over America about the killing of God’s babies. This is a down right shame. I would dread facing God if I was not standing up for Him and His precious babies.

My aim to to serve God and not man. My aim is not to be popular in this godless world. I am who I am.

We have a President who celebrates the killing of God’s babies. He thinks he is above God.

President Biden stated: Here’s a promise I make to you and the American people. The first bill that I send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade and when Congress passes it, I’ll sign it in January,” Biden said. “If Republicans get their way with a national ban, it won’t matter where you live in America. So let me be very clear. If such a bill were to pass in the next several years, I’ll veto it.” More Here

Church and politics are not only partially overlapping but completely and wholly overlapping. Yet, maybe not in the way you think.

By Patrick Schreiner

Christianity is political. Though it might sound crazy in our supercharged political climate, I don’t think the average Christian is nearly political enough.

It’s become a truism to state that Jesus didn’t come with a political message. As the common trope goes, though Israel expected a warrior-king to come riding on a white horse to overthrow Rome, He came with a spiritual message about their hearts. Jesus simply wants a relationship with you.

The problem is this is a half-truth.

VOTE! BUT PLEASE PRAY!

PLEASE VOTE!!! BUT PLEASE PRAY!!! Written By Pastor Leonard Navarre

When Jesus had a very important decision to make, he spent an entire night in prayer before the selection process.

Luke 6:12-13  (NLT). 12 One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. 13 At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles.

Since we are again entering a season of elections, we have a great opportunity. We will be making decisions as to who will lead us and our country.  I pray, that we will give much time to prayer and fasting as we vote on these leaders and in some places amendments.

When Jesus was looking for leaders to take his message not only to Jerusalem but around the world He spent an entire night in prayer before that selection process.  When I think about those apostles, I know I probably wouldn’t have voted for them or selected them.  They didn’t stand out and they weren’t of the upper class.  Some one has suggested they weren’t even very faithful of the Torah.

But Jesus, after spending an entire night in prayer, voted and chose these 12 ordinary men who then went out and changed the world.   They took this new message, THE WAY from Jerusalem to Galilee to around the world.

So, friends as we enter this election cycle, may I  give you a few suggestions.

  1. Pray, pray, pray.  Maybe spend an entire night praying before entering the voting booth.
  2. Fast, Fast, fast before you enter that voting booth.
  3. Evaluate the candidates not by personality, but by character and principles.  Do their beliefs line up with God’s Word?
  4. Think about the long-term outcome of our decisions.
  5. Get a sample ballot early.  Study the candidates and look up their web sites to study their beliefs.
  6. VOTE!  VOTE!  VOTE!  Maybe, pick up friends to go vote with you.  Some people have a hard time getting out to vote.

Every election is important!  In our constitutional republic we have been given an awesome responsibility.  The opportunity and privilege to vote.  There are nations in our world who don’t have the opportunity to vote in an open election.  Some are even coerced and forced to vote a certain way.

So, friends, please don’t take this responsibility lightly.  EVERY ELECTION IS IMPORTANT!  SO PLEASE, GO VOTE!

I am praying for you and your family.

Your Civic Duty is to Vote! Most & Least Politically Engaged States, there’s a growing lack of political engagement among Americans

I asked Pastor Bill Ruhl, pictured above, who is also the Vice Chairman of FGGAM, to share with us his thoughts about the condition of New Mexico and all of America.

The Political State of Affairs in New Mexico

When asked to write on the political state of affairs in America and New Mexico the word “Mess” immediately came to mind. Throughout my combined 30 years in this state I have been all too aware that the populace here, and throughout the nation, pays very little attention to the moral fiber of its candidates and spends equally little time investigating their actual stance on issues or their commitment to serving all their constituents once in office.
The debates, ads, and media coverage rarely focuses on having constituents informed on where candidates actually stand on important issues (that would require some level of actual accountability which sadly and, seemingly, intentionally doesn’t exist), but instead are based on character assassination, “attack ads”, and political bias that don’t benefit the listeners’ understanding of future policy decisions in any way. If ever America and New Mexico needed real “fact checkers” it is during every campaign season!
So, unfortunately, we have become a populace lulled into apathy, voting along family tradition, discouraged with the political theater that surrounds us, and demonized into accepting the dire straits we find ourselves in… Day after day and year after year.
New Mexico is today at the very bottom statistically in every worthwhile bracket. Oh, forgive me, we have our top brackets too: crime, abortion, drug trafficking, homelessness, homicides… Need I say more?!
We have an opportunity for change New Mexico. Instead of listening to slick political ads and slanted media coverage or outright omission, Do Some Homework! Study the issues and investigate the true values of all the candidates. You will find that “facts” change to suit the individual’s platform and audience at any given time. If you want more of the same then listen to the “facts” being presented by a two party system working together to say it’s so. Truth, however, is consistent day after day and it is passed time that New Mexico and America discovers the “Truth of the matter” in this year’s political environment.
Candidates are aggressively seeking monetary donations to support their campaigns, but it is time for an awakening to who these people truly are, both candidates and donors. There are so many special interests “investing” in their selected candidates, therefore, we need to invest “targeted intercession” as our campaign currency to influence the hearts of voters to support only those with righteous intent.
We need the camouflage of the Spirit as we engage in this battle, that we might ambush the enemy and thwart their evil plans. The battle is mine and the victory is mine says the Lord, but my people must humble themselves, repent, and pray if I am to heal their land.
It’s time to study to show yourself approved as you vote this November. Don’t be duped into the “same-o, same-o”. The future of New Mexico and the nation depends on You!
Blessings, Pastor Bill Ruhl “Papa Bill”

“As we all know crime is a horrific problem in New Mexico, the biggest crime is the killing of God’s babies through abortion.” Pastor Dewey Moede

“Man does not tell God when life begins. God predestines all humans for a purpose in life. Man has no right to kill God’s babies. Man dare not put himself above God.” Pastor Dewey Moede

My Sister in Christ Shari Johnson posted this yesterday at FGGAM:

So what does God say about killing infants?

Jeremiah 1:5 KJVS
[5] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Proverbs 6:16-17 KJVS
[16] These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: [17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

The first three things that Proverbs said God hated answers that question regarding abortion: A proud look (that man has the choice of life or death), a lying tongue (to say that child isn’t a child is saying God’s word is not true), and the 3rd, what did any child do to deserve being murdered?

Ezekiel delivers God’s message of Destruction to the Prince

Ezekiel 28:3-10 KJVS
[3] Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: [4] With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: [5] By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: [6] Therefore thus saith the Lord God ; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

UPDATE! I had a very good talk with Mrs. Bedonie on Sunday afternoon.

If you read my post from yesterday, Meet the news anchor fired for being pro-life and NM GOP Caves on Abortion, I had not heard from New Mexico Libertarian candidate for Governor Karen Bedonie to clarify in my mind about her stance on abortion. I have been told she is all out against abortion. I heard from a spokesperson for Mrs. Bedonie yesterday afternoon, and she started that Bedonie is pro-life from conception. PTL!!! You cannot be pro-life otherwise! The GOP and some Pro-Lifers are caving on this definition! SHAME! Do they think they are GOD!!!??? It is not right to play politics with God’s babies.

ALMIGHTY GOD IS OUR CREATOR! NOT POLITICIANS!!! I am free from politics, I am all sold out for GOD! I do not belong to any party, but I will stand for those that protect God’s babies. We do not have any pro-life candidates for governor here in New Mexico except for Mrs. Bedonie. The assistant to Bedonie sent me the graphic above. As a Pastor, I accept this graphic to help people understand where each candidate stands on the issue of God’s babies. Furthermore, Ronchetti wants to put abortion up to vote, as he does not have the courage to stand up for GOD’S babies himself, he is playing politics with GOD’S babies. Governor Lujan Grisham is just plain lost. I am thankful I have a clear picture now. It is what I had thought, but I needed clarification from Mrs. Bedonie.

Make sure and do your duty to vet the candidates with God’s Word. That is the responsibility of all people who call themselves Christians.

Pleasing God or Man??!!! Written by Pastor Leonard Navarre

From CBN:

Now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned, Christian leader Lou Engle says it’s time to take the abortion battle to the states. He’s calling believers to come to the state that first legalized abortion in the late 60’s, for what’s being called “Communion Colorado.”

Christians will gather at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs for seven hours to seek God, take communion together, and pray for the ending of abortion at the state level, asking God for a great revival. More Here

Awesome message by Randy Alcon in CHURCHLEADERS

“What is the matter with the world?” Martyn Lloyd-Jones asked. “Why . . . war and all this unhappiness and turmoil and discord amongst men? . . . There is only one answer to these questions—sin. Nothing else; it is just sin.”

Addiction provides a picture of all sin patterns. At first, the happiness it causes seems to outweigh the misery. But eventually the periods of misery increase while the periods of happiness fade. This is called the law of diminishing returns. Life is promised; death is delivered. Every drug, alcohol, and pornography addict is living proof that the next high is less satisfying than the last.

FGGAM Shares a Biblical Worldview Everyday:

“The Biblical worldview says there is a God—One who is personal, powerful and caring—who created the world and everything in it. It states unequivocally that man is created in God’s image, living in essence as God’s co-regent over creation. Mankind—born and unborn, rich and poor, able and disabled—has intrinsic worth. Almighty God is a sovereign God, ruler over nations, states, empires, and governments. He is to be worshiped and obeyed through the precepts and principles revealed in His infallible Word. He not only exists, but He is sovereign over all of history according to His wisdom and purposes, and He is intimately involved in every aspect of life.”
