Ethel Maharg Director of Right to Life in New Mexico: “When people ask me what my opinion on abortion is I tell them I don’t get to have one because God has already spoken clearly on it. 6th Commandment Thou shall not kill. So if I don’t get to have one, neither do you.”
From FOX NEWS:
Montana voters rejected the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act that would have required medical professionals to perform lifesaving medical care on infants who survived abortions or were born prematurely.
The pro-life measure would not have prevented Montana residents from receiving abortions, but would have required “medical care be provided to infants born alive” as a result of a natural or induced labor, failed abortion or a cesarean section.
The measure failed by around 20,000 votes, with 52.6% voting against it and 47.4% in favor of its passage at the time The Associated Press called the race. FOX NEWS Has The Details
My dear friend Rick Wrisley of Elkhart Indiana put it this way: An unbelievable election result in Montana. By 20 thousand votes the people reject a ballot measure that would have required doctors to provide life saving treatment to children who survived a late term abortion or was born prematurely. My wife was born prematurely. Thank God she was given life saving treatment.
Rick and I worked together for years at WCMR/WFRN radio in Elkhart.
