From CBN:
POLITICS. Tuesday is Election Day in the United States. People have been streaming to the polls for early voting in many states, and law enforcement is on heightened alert. Not only was House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband attacked a week ago in their home in San Francisco—by a Canadian who had overstayed his visa—but someone just shot into the home of a Republican running in North Carolina’s new 14th District. Bullets landed within mere feet of where Pat Harrigan’s two daughters were sleeping; he now wears a bulletproof vest to campaign.
As the Federal Reserve announced its sixth interest rate hike this year, President Biden is focusing on political violence rather than the economy. Meanwhile, groups are working to protect polling locations and even protect from outside, foreign influences. Races in a number of states are being watched nationally, including the gubernatorial and Senate races in Georgia, and the Senate Race in Pennsylvania. In addition to the campaign trail, Capitol Hill remains a battleground for the life issue; the Democrat plan to use tax dollars to fund abortion travel for members of the military is under fire. This issue will continue to be debated later this month when Congress returns to Washington, D.C., after the midterm election.
