Vote And Pray For America…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Today we all will have the opportunity to exercise our freedom to vote here in the greatest nation of the world, the United States of America.
My memory took me back this morning to my youngest daughter when she was in the first grade as she sang and signed to a medley of patriotic songs in a Little Miss Pageant our city held. Her blue dress adorned with red and white stars and sequins that made her shine brightly, blessed this mother once again this morning.
America The Beautiful was her first selection, and I can still hear her little voice belt out the words. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain. America, America God shed his grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea.
She then sang, God Bless America Land that I love. Stand beside her, and guide her, through the night with a light from above. From the mountains to the prairies, to the oceans, white with foam, God bless America, My home sweet home.
Let’s Pray:
Father, the mountains seem high today in America, but your grace brings them down low. Father, today we celebrate freedom, and we lift our hearts to you knowing that your grace has been extended to our nation and its great people.
Father, thank you for opening our spiritual eyes, so we can know the truth and the truth will set us all free. (John 8:36)
Father, awaken the hearts of people in our nation. May they say No to hate, No to racism, No to oppression. May there truly be life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.
Father, you said in your Word if my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray and seek my face turn from their wicked ways then we would hear from heaven, and you would forgive our sin and heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14). Let it be so, we pray. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Thank God for his grace and cast your vote.
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. (Colossians 1:16)
