Regardless of when Jesus was actually born, it’s a good thing to celebrate the birth of Jesus! Christmas is a great time to praise, worship and give honor to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – the Savior of the world!
Pastor Dewey Moede and I agreed that sharing a mixture of modern and traditional Christmas songs is in order for this season! So, from December 14, 2022 through Christmas Day, I’ll post articles with videos or audio-videos of some great and worshipful Christmas-themed songs.
For Day 3, let’s enjoy the song Mary, Did You Know. The song’s lyrics were written by Mark Lowry in 1984 and the music was written by Buddy Greene in 1991. It was originally recorded by Michael English in 1991. The Gaither Vocal Band also performed a highly popular version recorded on the group’s 1998 Christmas album – Still The Greatest Christmas Story Ever Told.
The video recording below was made by Maverick City Music, which has quickly become one of the most amazing and successful contemporary worship music organizations today. Maverick City Music’s songs are being played regularly in churches and in our homes across the country (and the world).
