“I am eager to preach the Gospel.” —Romans 1:15
The answer is not in politics, which is the playground of Satan.
That is my letter to you today, Dewey’s Daily Cup!
“People die every day without Christ, and we’ve got the answer. … Don’t just talk about evangelism. Do it.”
–Dr. Stephen McQuoid
From Dr. Jim Denison:
According to a recent survey, 52 percent of American adults believe that Jesus was a great teacher but nothing more. In their view, it is as mythical and irrational to claim that the Christ of Christmas is the Son of God as it is to claim that Santa visited my home last Saturday evening.
I believe I understand their reasoning:
One: Since 53 percent of Americans believe that the Bible “is not literally true,” they do not allow clear biblical claims for the divinity of Christ (cf. John 1:1, Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 1:3, John 8:8) to change their minds.

America needs JESUS! Are you carrying out the Great Commission daily in your community? Or do you work for the sit-more-do-little church? 3 Things You Can Do Today to Carry Out the Great Commission
Don’t just “play church.” Take action.
“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” Eph 4: 17, 18.
The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim. 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the road of hopelessness and self-destruction.
This past year was my hardest in ministry. I has to take off the month off in December because the deaths of many caused me such sadness. I officiated to many funerals of young people dying of violence. Sharon and I pray for all the families. Our hearts are broken. So many innocent people killed by gunfire. So many Mommy’s and daddies are looking for justice. Try and put yourself in their shoes, and see how it feels.
After another violent year, Albuquerque families await justice
Wisdom from Adrian Rogers:
Jesus is the only reason we live. As a matter of fact, He came so that we might live. He said in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” He’s the only reason I live.
Most people today don’t have life, they have existence. They are fighting to live while they’re living to fight. They’re growing and breathing, and one day is turning into another. They have existence, but they don’t have life. They’ve got it all backward.
Jesus has come that you might have life. Satan has come to rob you of life—he comes to steal, kill, and destroy (see John 10:10). And he has stolen, killed, and destroyed life from many people. They don’t understand life, and they look at it very pessimistically. Benjamin Disraeli said, “youth is a blunder, manhood a struggle, and old age a regret.”[1] That may be true if you don’t know the Lord Jesus, but if you are in Christ, you have the key to true life.
