FGGAM Reader Elizabeth Davenport Avens, a former resident of New Mexico states, “Without Christ in New Mexico, I don’t see it getting any better. There are too many ” nones ” or people with Catholic beliefs mixed with New Age beliefs where anything goes. So there is no hope. They need the Hope we have. It seems like Satan has a stronghold there.”
A Bernalillo County Deputy Sheriff told me awhile back, “It is a generational problem, New Mexico has always been a violent state.” ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The homes or offices of six local elected leaders were shot at over the last few weeks
Study: New Mexico has second-highest rate of violent crime
WAKE UP NEW MEXICO! YOU CONTINUTE TO FAIL! Our State is The 49th Worst State to Raise a Family!
Albuquerque records a record number of murders in 2022
New Mexico is known as the abortion Capitol. You cannot keep killing God’s babies and think its okay with God. Shame on you New Mexico. So many death clouds here.
Pastor Bill Ruhl of Albuquerque: As long as the welfare mentality is promoted by our elected officials, from the governor on down, as a control mechanism over the voter populace, NM will remain in this bottom rung position. People need programs that cause and encourage them to pull themselves up.
When I was in Reserve two Sundays ago to preach at FBC, a visitor from out-of-state came up to me and stated, “Why do you live in this state, it is only going to get worse here.” This lovely lady had grown up in New Mexico and moved away because of the darkness.
My 83 year- old friend Clyde told me, “It’s the families, I have lived in Albuquerque since the 50’s, and the biggest change I see is that so many families are all split up now.”
Many children never get a chance to grow up in a Christian family because their parents never went to Church, because their parents never went. On and on we go. A generational problem for sure.
This problem will not be solved by politics or by more law enforcement officers. I have lived in New Mexico since 195. I have seen governors from both parties all fail to turn the state around. It is not a political issue, it is a JESUS issue! New Mexico needs a JESUS REVIVLA! A come to JESUS meeting before its to late. No more Hollywood performances by Pastors and Churches please.
The apostle Paul instructs Christians to wage war against the sin in themselves (Romans 6) and warns us to oppose the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10–18).
Ephesians 6:10–12 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” This text teaches some crucial truths: we can only stand strong in the Lord’s power, it is God’s armor that protects us, and our battle is ultimately against spiritual forces of evil in the world. What Does The Bible Say About Being a Servant?
What Does The Bible Say About Christian Heritage?
What Does The Bible Say About Raising Children?
The failure of America is tied to the failure of many America families to raise up children in the Church. We are paying a very deep price for this inaction.
From The Christian Post: A new study on how the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns impacted church attendance in the United States has found that roughly one in three Americans now say they’ve stopped attending religious services.
The pandemic lockdowns disrupted religious participation for millions of Americans, notes the study, titled “Faith After the Pandemic: How COVID-19 Changed American Religion,” conducted by the Survey on American Life, a project of the American Enterprise Institute. Story Here
From Lifeway Research:

Research reveals a number of things in today’s church and culture that appear to be at a tipping point. What are these shifts and how can churches navigate these changes?
American attitudes toward the Bible
Americans are almost evenly split on their attitude toward the Bible. 51% of Americans agree the Bible is 100% accurate in all that it teaches. However, 53% consider the Bible fiction agreeing that the Bible like all sacred writings contains helpful accounts of ancient myths but is not literally true. Agreement with both of these statements has grown since 2014 when 43% agreed the Bible is 100% accurate and 41% said it is not literally true.
So, which direction is the trend moving? The trend is moving toward almost all Americans having an opinion about the Bible rather than some staying on the sidelines. The fact that a majority now consider the Bible fiction rather than just saying they don’t know represents a cultural shift where it is increasingly acceptable to oppose the Bible. The Northeast (60%) and West (57%) have passed this tipping point and the Midwest (50%) and South (49%) have reached it. More Here
