“Jesus is associated with religion, and it’s offending people,” the security guard at Mall of America stated. Oh My! Really??!!! Upon further review I beleive its the crossing out of ‘coexist’ on the shirt that could have caused the problem. I would not put that on a shirt. We build of bridges of love and trust from the start with all people as Jesus teaches us. We need to shine the light of Jesus in love to an unbelieving world.
Mall of America sits on the land that was once the home to the Minnesota Twins and Vikings! The good old Metropolitan Stadium was torn down to make room for the Mall of America. Man, I miss that place, I watched many Twins games there with my family. When I saw this story I thought WOW! If ever I make it back to Minnesota I sure am going to wear my FGGAM shirt that says, “Ask me about Jesus” Where’s the Minnesota nice in this story? I have never had anybody in our Great Commission travels in New Mexico, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, California, Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota, ask me to not wear my ‘TEAM JESUS’ or ‘ASK ME ABOUT JESUS’ shirts. We always minister in the love of JESUS! I am thinking in all my years of ministry, I really have had only one person kinda shrug away from me. LOVE FIRST!
From CHURCHLEADERS:
Videos that appear to show security guards at the Mall of America (MOA) confronting a man wearing a t-shirt that says “Jesus is the only way” have gone viral on social media, sparking a debate about what it means to “turn the other cheek.” In the videos, one of which has gotten over 1 million views on TikTok, a security guard tells the man that people are offended by his shirt and that he must either remove it or leave the premises.
