Remnants from a historic storm left almost 50,000 homes and businesses in California without power Monday as residents braced for an onslaught of more bad weather that could bring up to 8 inches of rain in some areas and trigger additional flooding and mudslides.

The battered state faces another “atmospheric river” this week, and the Midwest and South also can expect damaging weather, AccuWeather meteorologists warn. Parts of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi were under a tornado watch until 3 a.m. Central, the National Weather Service said.

Storm-battered Calif. could get another 8 inches of rain

From Sunday:

I am getting reports that parts of Catron County, New Mexico are without power this morning. The area had snow last night. New Mexico Weather: Snow and Rain

I have not heard of the term ‘Atmospheric river’ before. Sharon is trying to reach her foamily in Elk Grove, California which is right next door to Sacramento. No answer yet from her brother. We are praying for the safety of all. We have been getting some nice, soft rains on the west side of Albuquerque for about 4 nights now. PT:! Every drop helps!

“Atmospheric river” floods Northern California and may have contributed to at least 3 deaths

FGGAM Shares a Biblical Worldview Everyday:

“The Biblical worldview says there is a God—One who is personal, powerful and caring—who created the world and everything in it. It states unequivocally that man is created in God’s image, living in essence as God’s co-regent over creation. Mankind—born and unborn, rich and poor, able and disabled—has intrinsic worth. Almighty God is a sovereign God, ruler over nations, states, empires, and governments. He is to be worshiped and obeyed through the precepts and principles revealed in His infallible Word. He not only exists, but He is sovereign over all of history according to His wisdom and purposes, and He is intimately involved in every aspect of life.”

FGGAM STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are the inerrant, inspired, and infallible Word of God.
God’s Word is the final authority for faith and life.
We believe there is only one God, and He has chosen to reveal Himself
as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
