Reuters is reporting this afternoon that scores of Russian military recruits were killed or wounded today in one of most deadly attacks of the war so far.

Russia has acknowledged the Ukrainian missile attack, which struck a military barracks in Makiivka, Russia, where military recruits were being housed adjacent to an ammunition storage area.

Although Russia acknowledges the deaths of at least 63 military members, Ukrainian officials believe the actual death toll may be substantially higher.

As horrible as this (or any) war may be, Russia is clearly failing in its attempt to destroy the sovereign nation of Ukraine, despite the size of Russia’s military and advanced weaponry.

Thankfully, many of the free nations of the world have stood in lockstep with Ukraine by providing refugee assistance and substantial military assistance and equipment – especially the US.

Sadly, Russia continues to fire upon civilians and civilian infrastructure in a bold and obvious attempt to break the will of the Ukrainians by freezing or starving them.  International organizations, such as the United Nations, are useless in many ways, given how it functions and the number of nations perpetually in disagreement about everything.

The only answer here is the Answer, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Let’s continue to pray strongly for the people of Ukraine.

Father, we pray that Russian civilian and military leaders, as well as President Putin, would see the evil they are bringing upon Ukraine (and the world) by opening their eyes to see the goodness of God.  We pray that Russia would immediately relent and repent.  We also pray for Your favor and a peace beyond our understanding for those who are hurting, injured, angry, cold, hungry or starving.  We know that what has been brought upon the Ukrainian people and the manipulated people of Russia is from the pits of hell.  We bind this evil, that it would be broken, bound up and brought to an end.  We loose the love of the Jesus upon the land.  We ask this in the name of Jesus – the name above all names and to Whom all glory and praise belongs.

Matthew 16:19 [NKJV]

“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

John 14:13 [NKJV]

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
