BREAKING NEWS: The International Criminal Court (“ICC”), The Hague, Netherlands, today issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of being responsible for war crimes in Ukraine. Although Ukraine is not a member of the court, it has granted the ICC jurisdiction over its territory.
According to the ICC’s press release, the criminal arrest warrant accuses President Putin of overseeing the abduction and deportation of children from Ukraine to Russia.
The ICC has also accused Russia’s presidential commissioner for children’s rights, Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, of similar war crimes.
