NM State Rep. Jim Townsend: HB 207 Passed, It has many bad problems. Boys in girls sports and in the bathrooms if they identify as a female. Religious freedoms were lost and personal rights of parents were tossed out

NM State Rep. Jim Townsend: I think this is a very sad day for New Mexico and family values. No one wants any child discriminated against including me but I believe the rights of the vast majority were trampled on and I am amazed that any would think for the whole this was good. Sad Day for many NM families. There has to be a better way than ignore the vast majority.

Having a clear conscience allows you to sleep in peace, the peace of JESUS! Pastor Dewey Moede

WAKE UP CHURCH!!! From Charles Stanley: The church is a place for participants, not spectators. Yet many Christians today think this kind of involvement in others’ lives is too costly. So they come on Sunday, stand to sing, sit to listen, and walk out to get back to their own lives. The term “spectator Christian” doesn’t apply only to those who deliberately avoid going to church. In fact, many churches are filled with observant attendees who sit in the pews each week but never touch a fellow believer’s life. What about you? Are you a spectator seeking what you can get or a participant looking for ways to give to someone else?

From Pastor Dewey:

It is way beyond time that Christians demand a change in New Mexico. When we moved here in 1995, I kept hearing, New Mexico is the land of enchantment. EVIL! There is so much evil in this state, killing babies, and all sorts of evil. Do you know what God’s Word says about enchantment? I use ‘Got Questions’ so much in my research and in my news reporting. Here is what ‘Got Questions’ states: In modern usage, the word enchantment can refer to the feeling of being attracted by something interesting, pretty, or exciting. But in the Bible enchantment usually refers the practice of the magic arts. Enchantment, as a part of witchcraft and sorcery, was clearly forbidden in God’s Law (Leviticus 19:262 Kings 21:6). An enchanter was one who cast spells or put “curses” on someone. Some English translations use the words divinermagicianfortune-tellernecromancer, or astrologer to identify someone who practiced enchantment. More Here

I am just sick over this legislation. I cannot identify with this type of behavior. It throws everything I have learned since I was a little boy out the window! These people who pass these laws are so satanic. I will not at all be politically correct, I do my very best to always be Biblically correct. My goodness, evil is prevailing in New Mexico and across the land, and to think people voted these fools in! The Bible has much to say about fools. From ‘Got Questions’ The word fool today usually means “a senseless fellow, a dullard.” The biblical definition has the added dimension of “someone who disregards God’s Word.” The Bible lists many characteristics of such a person, often contrasting him with one who is wise. Ecclesiastes 10:2 says, “The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.” A fool is one whose wayward heart turns continually toward foolishness. God will have His way with all of us. More Here

Well this is the final vote of HB207. (pictured at the top) It has many bad problems. Boys in girls sports and in the bathrooms if they identify as a female. Religious freedoms were lost and personal rights of parents were tossed out. Four Republicans voted for the Bill and it passed 47 to 20. Only republicans voted against the bill in the end. I think this is a very sad day for New Mexico and family values. No one wants any child discriminated against including me but I believe the rights of the vast majority were trampled on and I am amazed that any would think for the whole this was good. Sad Day for many NM families. There has to be a better way than ignore the vast majority.

HB 7 – The Reproductive and Gender Affirming Health Care Act is the most radical abortion and transgender procedure mandate bill in the nation. This bill repeals by implication the age of consent for medical procedures and conscience protections, allowing public employees to refer children for these irreversible procedures. It also bans future legislation from addressing and reversing this legislation.

SB 397 the dangerous “School Based Clinic” bill is scheduled to be heard Monday, March 6, 2023  –  8:30 AM  –  Room 309. ACTION ITEMS LISTED BELOW.

NMAFL offered testimony against HB 7, “School Based Health Clinics are currently administering copper intrauterine contraceptives, spermicidal agents, Plan B and a host of sexual activity-related procedures without parental consent,” said Elisa Martinez, NMAFL Executive Director. “HB 7 will pave the way for a host of permanent and semi-permanent transgender procedures to be offered without parental consent at public school clinics across the state.”

Senator, Dr. Gregg Schmedes, the only practicing medical professional in the NM Legislature presented a host of data on the overwhelming failure of gender affirming care models previously used throughout Europe: “Progressive medical societies throughout Europe have systematically reviewed the evidence, which demonstrates the abject failure of gender affirming care that grossly discriminates against autistic children, teenage girls, and the gay/lesbian community. This is why Europe is leaving this model. Dr. Schmedes also added, “I’m a father of 8 children I have a right to determine what is going to benefit my child and what is not — this bill strips away that right.”

TAKE ACTION TO STOP RADICAL ANTI-LIFE BILLS:

SB 397 – School Based Clinics Operation and Creation. This legislation seeks to increase funding for school based health clinics and expands access to abortion and gender affirming procedures on school grounds. This legislation also allows sexual activity related youth services to occur without parental consent. SB 397 opens access to radical medical procedures on students in schools without permission from consenting adults — including transgender procedures. Read NMAFL’s exclusive analysis on School Based Health Clinics. Please plan to testify against SB 397 on MONDAY.

  • SB 397 PASSED THE SENATE FLOOR 36 – 11 WITH SEVERAL REPUBLICANS, SEN KERNAN, NEVILLE & DIAMOND VOTING FOR THE DANGEROUS BILL. IT NOW MOVES TO THE NM HOUSE EDUCATION COMMITTEE.
  • Contact members of the Education Committee here. Plan to testify against HB 397 for the hearing on Zoom here or in person room 309, 8:30 AM Monday, March 6.

SB 13 – The Reproductive and Gender Affirming Health Care Protection Act eliminates interstate regulation allowing out of state minors to travel to New Mexico to receive traumatic, irreversible abortions and radical gender affirming care. This legislation also denies parental access to medical records and puts the very health of our youth at risk. SB 13 passed Senate Health on a 5 – 3 vote. MORE ANALYSIS HERE.

Contact the Senate Judiciary committee to VOTE NO on HB 7 & SB 13 (listed above).

PROJECT VERITAS VIDEO CONFIRMS WHAT WE’VE BEEN STATING ON HB 7 & SUBSEQUENT BILLS: THE LEFT IS COMING FOR NM KIDS.

Read more here. The shocking undercover video shows Albuquerque Public School (APS) officials training teachers to disseminate radical gender policies or be in violation of CDC “Title IX” standards.

“These bills, combined with the revelations from Project Veritas, prove that radical leftist lawmakers are trying to make New Mexico the next California,” said Elisa Martinez, Executive Director of the New Mexico Alliance for Life. “In an effort to profit off of the exploitation of our youth, New Mexico Lawmakers are ignoring the safety of our children. These bills are setting up New Mexico to become the premier abortion and transition surgery destination by targeting vulnerable children in schools and circumventing parental rights.”
