NBC News is reporting today about a wave of fentanyl overdoses occurring in three separate schools which are part of the North Texas’ Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.
The rash of overdoses, occurring since January, has brought anger to parents and relatives in the Carrollton, Texas community located about 20 miles north of Dallas. Even middle school students are affected, with a 14-year-old student nearly dying from a fentanyl overdose earlier this year.

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) maintains a webpage called Fentanyl Awareness, which may be visited HERE.
On the webpage, DEA Administrator Anne Milgram is quoted saying that “[f]entanyl is the single deadliest drug threat our nation has ever encountered. Fentanyl is everywhere. From large metropolitan areas to rural America, no community is safe from this poison. We must take every opportunity to spread the word to prevent fentanyl-related overdose death and poisonings from claiming scores of American lives every day.”
My brothers and sisters, please pray that the Lord would speak to the hearts and minds of our governmental leaders, and most especially President Joe Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.
Let’s pray that wisdom would prevail, with changes in US policy reflective of the seriousness of drug cartel influence and related deaths, which directly result from the US’ grossly-flawed border and immigration policies.
Lord have mercy! Praise Jesus forevermore!
