Charles Frazier Stanley, pastor of First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia from 1971 until September 2020 and founder of InTouch Ministries died at age 90 on Tuesday morning.
His death was confirmed in a statement Tuesday posted to Instagram by In Touch Ministries, which read:
“Dr. Stanley lived a faithful life of obedience, dedicated to teaching others how to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Now he is receiving the joy of his soul—seeing his Savior face-to-face,” read the statement. “Please join us in praying for the entire Stanley family. In 1969, Stanley joined the staff at First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and became senior pastor in 1971, holding the position until his retirement in September 2020. Continue reading.
