I know no good of booze……so much harm has been done to families.
‘Got Questions’ states: What God commands Christians regarding alcohol is to avoid drunkenness (Ephesians 5:18). The Bible condemns drunkenness and its effects (Proverbs 23:29-35). Christians are also commanded to not allow their bodies to be “mastered” by anything (1 Corinthians 6:12; 2 Peter 2:19). Drinking alcohol in excess is undeniably addictive. Scripture also forbids a Christian from doing anything that might offend other Christians or encourage them to sin against their conscience (1 Corinthians 8:9-13). In light of these principles, it would be extremely difficult for any Christian to say he is drinking alcohol in excess to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). More Here
CDC: Drinking too much can harm your health. Excessive alcohol use led to more than 140,000 deaths and 3.6 million years of potential life lost (YPLL) each year in the United States from 2015 – 2019, shortening the lives of those who died by an average of 26 years.1 Further, excessive drinking was responsible for 1 in 5 deaths among adults aged 20-49 years.2 The economic costs of excessive alcohol consumption in 2010 were estimated at $249 billion, or $2.05 a drink.3
Was it the because the governor caved to the booze lobbyists? Just asking………
You may have missed this story over Easter weekend, but this is another complete failure by Governor Lujan Grisham. WHY NOT INCREASE THE TAX ON BOOZE???? BOOZE KILLS! So many in New Mexico have lost loved ones from a drunk driver, it also causes many health problems in the state, mental and physical! I will never understand how booze makers/sellers can sleep at night! FOLLOW THE MONEY ON THIS ONE, AND MUCH OF WHAT COMES OUT OF SANTA FE!
Then I come back and say to myself, well, this is a governor who says she is going to build a $10 million dollar abortion factory! No respect for life! What does the Bible say about abortion? Simply put, abortion is murder. It is the killing of a human being created in the image of God. The majority of this state voted for her! What does that say about New Mexico???!!!
