As reported HERE last week by FGGAM, factions loyal to Sudan’s Armed Forces Chief, General Abdel-Fattah Burhan, and the head of the Rapid Support Forces, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, are essentially fighting a civil war for control of Sudan – with hundreds of civilians killed or injured in the crossfire.
CNN is reporting that the situation in Sudan, and especially in the capital city of Khartoum, is not improving. On Thursday, April 20, 2023, the United States (“US”) military received the go-ahead to deploy additional capabilities to the area in the event that evacuation of the US embassy in Sudan becomes necessary.
These additional capabilities reportedly include hundreds of US marines stationed at Camp Lemmonier (located in the Republic of Djibouti), along with aircraft capable of transporting in ground units sufficient to secure the embassy. Camp Lemmonier is the only permanent US military base in Africa.

My brothers and sisters, Sudan, with its millions of citizens, remains in desperate need of prayer. Let’s continue to believe for God’s intervention in the hearts of the country’s leadership and military, and for the continuing protection of its citizens – as well as foreign nationals, including Americans, who may be stranded there in the midst of this political and military power struggle.
Praise Jesus forevermore!
