According to the Associated Press (“AP News”), the White House estimates that since December 2022, Russia has suffered 100,000 casualties, including more than 20,000 killed, as Ukraine has rebuffed a heavy assault by Russian forces in eastern Ukraine.
In what has become a grinding war of attrition, the fiercest battles have been in the eastern Donetsk region. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the estimate was based on newly-declassified American intelligence.

Lord have mercy. Let’s continue to pray for a swift end to this war and for the peace of Christ to reign in this part of the globe. Let’s continue to pray for a change in heart, and absent that – a change of circumstances, causing Russian President Vladimir Putin to relent from this unjust and unprovoked war that has already killed and displaced thousands.
Psalm 29:11 (NKJV)
“The Lord will give strength to His people; [t]he Lord will bless His people with peace.”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
