God meets us in the darkest valley’s.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good.”

Romans 8:28

I’ve heard people say that God doesn’t have a plan for their lives because things are usually bad and too many discouraging events, can cause doubt.

They may often feel as though God isn’t listening or does not care about their situation.  I think when someone says that, it’s usually because they’re mad at God or maybe disappointed in his plan.

Scripture tells us otherwise.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Gods plans are good and faithful. That doesn’t mean that you will never experience trials and tribulations in life, but you do have a future hope in Christ. God’s plan for you is to prosper and grow you spiritually in Christ, even in the very situation you are in right now.

I remember being a young single mom and thinking God had forgotten about me, but nothing could’ve been further from the truth.

When I had fear, doubt and unbelief, that’s when God did his best work in me.

He meets us in the darkest of valleys and he woos us there.  It’s in the valley, the darkest times, that God has shaped me.

Even though it feels like you’re alone, you definitely aren’t. He said that he’d never leave us or abandon us. Ever! We should be strengthened by this promise.

Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.

Hebrews 13:5

Not one thing can separate us from his love.

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Psalm 145:18

We may not understand God’s big plan, but we should trust that He has one for us.

Everything in our life happens that way, for His reason not ours.  No matter what giants you may be facing today that are working to intimidate you, defeat you and destroy you, and as much as you may not want to, it’s imperative that you face these giants and slay them.

Most battles are fought on our knees. I know it works and I’m currently fighting one of these battles on behalf of a loved one. I know God will fight this battle for them.

When we’re afraid, the only thing we tend to think of is ourselves. You don’t think about God, You don’t think about anybody else, You’re just focusing on the trials you’re facing.

It’s time to let go and trust God, the one who created you for a purpose. Seek his face.

When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.

Psalm  56:3

Behind the scenes there is a God who is not shaken, not worried, not anxious or slow. He is in control and fighting for you.

You must quit running and face the issue. Face it in faith. Move against it, and take control of the thing you fear most, for God never intended His children to live with unhealthy and unhelpful fear.

That’s why He reminds us over and over in His word to “fear not.”  In fact, “fear not” appears in scripture 365 times in some form or another. It’s no coincidence that God gave us one “fear not” for every day of the year.

This life is but a vapor, quick and fast. Then comes eternity…Our goal.

The race is almost over!

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

2 Timothy 4:7
