Love Life Albuquerque Welcomes Ethel Maharg as City Director
Love Life, a nationwide Christian organization dedicated to ending abortion and the orphan crisis in America, is proud to announce the appointment of Ethel Maharg as the new City Director of Love Life Albuquerque. Effective June 12th, 2023, Ethel will lead an incredible team of highly motivated Christians passionate about seeing the Church united and mobilized to reach the “least of these” in Albuquerque.
The number of abortion clinics in New Mexico has doubled since new legislation was passed in Texas a few years ago. This means there is an even greater need for a Christian witness offering the hope of the Gospel and the help of the Church at these abortion clinics. Love Life ABQ plans to officially launch its mission this coming September.
Josh Kappes, Vice President of Love Life, said: “We asked the Lord for a high-level leader who was well-connected and bilingual, and the Lord blessed us with Ethel Maharg. Ethel has served her state so faithfully for many years, and we are honored to have her as part of the Love Life family.”
Kappes also went on to honor all those who have already been serving in Albuquerque for many years: “We also honor the faithful volunteers that have prepared the ground in New Mexico over the past few years as well as incredible organizations like CareNet Pregnancy Centers and Abortion Free New Mexico for the vital work they have been doing for so long in New Mexico.”
Ethel and her team at Love Life ABQ are committed to providing support and resources to women facing unplanned pregnancies by equipping Pastors and Churches first to be aware of what’s happening and then preparing them to take action to love their neighbors, born and unborn. They plan on utilizing their network of churches across New Mexico to make an impactful difference throughout Albuquerque and beyond.
