Pastor Richard Mansfield’s Flag Day Prayer

FGGAM Photo taken at the Lakeview Cemetery in Windom, Minnesota

One of my biggest blessings in my life was meeting Pastor Richard Mansfield of New Beginnings Church years ago when I was managing KIKM Christian radio in Albuquerque. He has helped me in many ways. Just watching him serve Jesus and all people, I see JESUS. There have been many times in the past when I would call him for prayer. One day at KKIM a lady called me and said to me, “Pastor Richard is the Pastor of New Mexico.” So many love this man, and rightly so. Pastor Richard got me started in funeral ministry. He has trusted me to serve grieving families. When people trust you, that is a gift from God. Thank you for your FLAG DAY PRAYER Pastor Richard!

Pastor Richard Mansfield

Heavenly Father, as we fly our flags on Flag Day, we do so with such respect, honor and reverence for what it stands for. Our flag has been revered since we first fought for the establishment of this great God fearing nation. Throughout the years, these stars and stripes represent the very nature of Americans; strong, loyal and courageous. Continue to use this great flag as a symbol of the land of the free and the home of the brave. May our country always remain the home of the free. May we always be reminded of the great battles that have been fought and won by men and women that bore this flag on the uniforms as well as flew this flag to identify us as the great nation that we are. May we never lose respect for “Old Glory” and continue to fly the flag of the United States of America and give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the United States of America, I pray in JESUS name, Amen 🙏🏼

History of FLAG DAY

Pastor Dewey Note: Flag Day is extra special for me in that it is my daddies birthday in heaven. My dad bought me my first brand new bike on HIS birthday! Up until this time I was riding a used bike. I needed a new bike for my paper routes, I had 2 routes. I repeat! ON HIS BIRTHDAY! This was back in the late 60’s. My daddy served as a SGT in the U.S. Marines in WW II, he served our country in many ways! Head usher at Church, Fireman, and bus supervisor for the Windom, Minnesota schools. Most importantly, he was a man of God, a wonderful husband to my mom, awesome daddy and grandpa.  So many loved my daddy and still remember him. He showed me JESUS as did my Mom!

God Bless the memory of my Dad and Mom!

PS: Never forget those that have helped you in your life.
