My brothers and sisters, it seems that we, as a nation, are suffering a serious lack of emotional intelligence and maturity – with feeling disrespected or being subject to others with differing views to be a legitimate reason for murder (or attempted murder)! Lord have mercy!
Proverbs 4:14-17 (NKJV)
“Do not enter the path of the wicked, [a]nd do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; [t]urn away from it and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; [a]nd their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, [a]nd drink the wine of violence.”
Romans 12:16-18 (NKJV)
“Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”
Galatians 5:19-23 (NKJV)
“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness [and] self-control. Against such there is no law.”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
