What Treasure Is Hidden In Your Day?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was thinking about the treasures of life this morning. Lots of graduations are coming up and there will be new beginnings for many of God’s beautiful people.
A few summers ago, I purchased myself a small wooden treasure chest on an island that I love to visit, here in Maine. I was blessed with many treasures from that yard sale that warm, sunny day. My heart delights when I look at the beautiful pieces, I purchased with my ten-dollar bill. However, at the end of the day, it is still just things.
God’s Word tells us not to lay up treasure on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
Let’s enjoy the little things in life beautiful people. Let’s enjoy the day God has given us. Let’s enjoy family, friends and all the promises of our God. Our happiness is not in the things we own, for those things are only temporary. Let’s store up some treasures in heaven.
Let’s Pray:
Father, you are the greatest treasure we will ever have. Nothing on this earth compares to journeying life with you.
Father, thank you for giving us another day. May we live it to the fullest. For this is the day you have made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. You are God’s greatest treasure. Look for him in your day today and every day.
