I weep………The Church in America is losing its influence. Only 32% of Americans expressed “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the Church, which is just 1 percentage point higher than the historic low in confidence expressed in 2022. I have shared a lot about this failure for years and years, I feel like the lone wolf. I cry.

The United Church of Christ passed a resolution 611-24 calling on member congregations to help “pregnant people” get abortions. The resolution claims that “a majority of Americans support legal abortion in all or most cases” and that state abortion bans can threaten “the lives of pregnant people,” as well as “deepen unequal access to comprehensive reproductive care” for minority communities. The survey, which was conducted in June, measured the faith of Americans in 16 major societal institutions, including the military, the police, the medical system, banks, and Congress, among others.
