Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. — Edmund Burke
My wife and I, along with millions of others, have become well-acquainted with Eric Metaxas, a best-selling author, sought after conference and church speaker, evangelist, and conservative radio and TV host. We have read many of his books and listen to him weekly on his podcast, as well as his frequent appearances at churches throughout America on YouTube. We have seen him in person several times. In many ways he is a modern-day prophet.
Some dear friends of ours, recently made a special effort to get us a signed copy of perhaps his most important book, Letter to the American Church. As you can tell by its title, it’s addressed to us because we are the church. When Jesus spoke of the church He made this declaration, “I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it” (Matthew 16:18). The church is not a building or an organization or a denomination, it is us—individually and corporately—and the only Chairman of the Board and leader we need is Jesus Christ! The issue at hand, as you will see is this: If we call ourselves Christians—that is born-again disciples and followers of Jesus Christ—we cannot be silent!
Silent about what, you might ask? Well, read on dear saints!
Eric presents the church in America with a challenge. That if we don’t like the direction that our culture is going, we can do something about it. We can shout our message “from the housetops” (Luke 12:3). We can speak up, stand up, and build up a crescendo of truth that is so loud, all will hear.
Our culture is filled with gross immorality to the brim—enough to make a granite statue blush. Millions of babies are being slaughtered by abortion (our state is one of the worst), while thousands of children are also being kidnapped to become sex slaves (see Sound of Freedom). Government officials lie to us by the boatload, pornography is rampant, and our open borders allow enough illicit drugs in to kill us all. School boards and unions proudly approve indoctrinating our children to change their genders while ignoring their parents—while young kids watch drag queen presentations in their school and public libraries.
The Apostle Paul warned us of this time in history in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, “There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”
Are we there yet?
No longer can evil be ignored (Proverbs 3:7-8). It’s time to act and the church must take it’s rightful place. You don’t need to be a preacher, but you can speak truth. Will you? I will. We each have a platform given to us by God. We cannot be silent. — Maranatha!
God cannot be mocked. . . — Galatians 6:7
“God is good all the time. All the time God is good!”
