I am helping many people who are grieving the death of a loved one. My family is grieving the loss of my brother-in-law Paul Rogers. Yesterday was my sister Deb’s birthday, her first since Paul’s tragic death. We have had many deaths in our family over the last 3 years, also many of our friends have passed away, most recently, Barbara Gould, who was on the Board of Directors of FGGAM. I am learning much through this time, going through the grieving process, but at the same time helping others.
Over the last 3 years I have officiated many, many funerals. Heaven is a prepared place, our you prepared for heaven? The Lord is teaching me so very much about His ways.
I pray this message in CHURCHLEADERS helps many……..
Christopher Laurie, son of Greg and Cathe Laurie, was killed in a car accident in 2008. Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, continues to live in the tension of grief and hope even after 15 years.
“When I heard the news that our son had died, I went into a state of shock. I collapsed on the ground. I couldn’t stand. I couldn’t believe it was true,” Laurie said in a recent social media post commemorating the loss of his son. “I thought this is a dream. It’s a nightmare. And I’m going to wake up from it. I know I will. But, I didn’t.”
