Bringing people to Jesus

FGGAM Photo of Pastor Dewey Moede carrying out The Great Commission in Catron County, New Mexico

Pastor Dewey: “True evangelism is a lot of hard work, it is like water dripping on cement, it will eventually crack. You have to stick to the individual, in person and by phone. You have to water the seeds you plant. Jesus has got to be your guide.”

The picture at the very top is from a few years ago when I was sharing Jesus in the Reserve, NM area. Love people! Remember folks, JESUS is always the answer!

God showed me when He formed FGGAM that we are to be a Great Commission ministry. It drives me nuts that I see many Churches not leaving their walls. What is The Great Commission? For the past 11 years we have attempted to serve our Lord by going out! By foot, by car, traveling to Minnesota, Arizona, California, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Colorado and all over New Mexico. Revivals in Minnesota and New Mexico. Preaching, teaching, on the radio, in the newspaper, using our website to spread the gospel, having reached millions in the last 11 years. I am usually up everyday at 3am posting news and inspiration. We have a very aggressive social media platform. Nursing home and hospital visits. Officiating funerals where I share a loving message of salvation, weddings, one on one meetings with folks. The call of the Lord should be strong on your heart! We have to many Christians who are lazy. I know! I see it! I am so very grateful the Lord has our hearts, Sharon and I are all sold out about sharing the love of Jesus! It is the best ‘job’ ever! JOY! I do not boast in myself or Sharon, We boast in the Lord. We have so much fun boasting in the Lord! Yesterday we had so much fun in Smiths supermarket sharing the JOY OF THE LORD!  Amen! Got Questions states: The phrase “boast in the Lord” is found in 1 Corinthians 1:31, where Paul, quoting Jeremiah 9:24, says, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” It may seem strange to think of boasting as good; after all, the word boast means “to puff oneself up in speech,” and pride is condemned in Scripture (e.g., Proverbs 11:2). Paul is obviously not talking about sinful boasting. The Bible never condones braggadocio. More Here

Please read this message by The Baptist Press on sharing Jesus! It is an awesome message!

In the Bible, there are many examples of anonymous believers bringing people to Jesus. One of the most dramatic stories involved four unnamed men who helped an invalid friend drop in on Jesus. The Lord was teaching in Capernaum when “so many people gathered together that there was no more room, not even in the doorway, and he was speaking the word to them” (Mk. 2:2). Four guys showed up, determined to get their friend to Jesus but “since they were not able to bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him and after digging through it, they lowered the mat on which the paralytic was lying. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’” (Mk. 2:4-5). More Here

CHICAGO (BP) — Phillip Griffin had an idea. Or what some might call more of an inspiration. The Men’s Sunday School teacher felt led by God to spend time outside of his church’s four walls on Sunday mornings. But not away from the church – on the church property itself.

For one hour every Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45 for the last three months, weather permitting, Griffin has sat in a lawn chair at the intersection of 82nd and Cornell on the lawn of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church on Chicago’s southeast side, waving and praying for people as they drive by. And, when given the opportunity, he’ll even pray with them. Often, the drivers offer him a smile and a wave, or sometimes a honk from their car horn, as he holds up a sign reading, “Stop to Pray/Stop for Prayer.” More Here
