How are you helping God’s children that are homeless? How is your Church helping? What are you going to do? Do you think Jesus is happy with what you are doing?

Got Questions states: The Bible acknowledges the fact of homelessness and instructs us to help those who are poor and needy, including those in homeless situations.

Jesus could identify with the homeless in His itinerant ministry. In Matthew 8:20, Jesus states that even animals have a place to call home, but He had nowhere to lay His head. He stayed in the homes of whoever would welcome Him and sometimes outside. He was born in a stable and even spent His last night before His crucifixion outside in a garden. The apostle Paul was also at times in a homeless situation (1 Corinthians 4:11).More Here

I think as we see how Jesus actually lived his life, he was always others-focused. I love these little lines [in the Bible] where it says, “And Jesus saw …and Jesus saw …and Jesus saw.” But he didn’t stop with seeing. Jesus embodied what it means to be proximate in presence. And there’s a difference between proximity and presence. We can be proximate to something or someone for a brief period of time and not even realize that we’re next to the person or the thing. But I think when you really embody a presence, you’re physically there and you are mentally there as well. You’re intently focused on your neighbor who is in front of you. When we talk about this idea of neighbor, Jesus was talking about people who don’t look like you or come from the same social location you come from. All of these different things. More Here
