Glory to God in the Highest!

They said “glory to God in the highest” to acknowledge God was in the “highest” heaven and to be worshiped because He is as glorious as He possibly could be. Men or angels can’t add to His glory but we can reflect it when we do His will.

Sixty survivors of the Maui wildfires have been rescued from a single home that had been cut off since wildfires swept through the Hawaiian island, officials say.

The large group had sheltered in an isolated residence in western Maui that had been without electricity and cell phone coverage since 8 August, Maui County mayor Richard Bisset said. More Here

Maui’s top emergency management official resigned Thursday, one day after he defended his decision not to sound warning sirens as wildfires swept across the island.

The resignation of Herman Andaya, the administrator of the Maui Emergency Management Agency, was effective immediately, a county spokesperson said.
