America is the most divided than I have seen it. Our country is no longer a Christian nation. You see the results? Hell on earth. I do not know if we will ever have the results of a presidential election that all sides will accept. We have created this mess, as we have failed God. Just 4% of Americans have a Biblical Worldview. Just 37% of Pastors have a Biblical Worldview. Barna Research: A Biblical Worldview is believing that absolute moral truths exist; that such truth is defined by the Bible; and firm belief in six specific religious views. Those views were that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life; God is the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe and He stills rules it today; salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned; Satan is real; a Christian has a responsibility to share their faith in Christ with other people; and the Bible is accurate in all of its teachings.
When Sharon and I are out on the streets of America, one of the most common replies we get is this: “We left the Church, it is not making a difference.” Also, “Our Church became so political.” more: “Our Pastor supports evil politicians.” Politics has done great damage to many Pastors and Churches, there creditability has sunk, they now just preach to the choir. I officiated a funeral last month where the husband of the deceased, a very gentle, loving man said to me, “The Church has become hateful.” We try very hard here at FGGAM to share the love and accountability to JESUS! That is the perception that many have. DEAL WITH IT! LOVE LIKE JESUS! We drive and walk the streets of America in New Mexico, Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota. For the last 2 years we have put on a lot of miles. You see, we GO OUT INTO THE STREETS! Spreading the love of JESUS! We have no walls, no denomination, …..we go! FREEDOM IN OUR LORD TO CARRY OUT THE GREEAT COMMISSION!! The greatest failure of the American Church in the last decade or more is not carrying out The Great Commission!
I get this a lot, Dewey, you preach basic Christianity. Yep! Growing up in sports and coaching baseball and softball teams, when we were losing I always told the players, “We got to get back the the basics of the game.” Christians need to get back to the basics, GOD’s WAYS! THE BIBLE!
