The Dawning Of A New Season…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. The harvest season is upon us and the summer of 2023 will now be just a memory. Life changes quickly, people change, relationships change, careers changes and the list of change is always evolving.
I always thought I was a person that liked change and embraced change. Although change is inevitable, it is not always easy. God’s love for us never changes, but his Word tells us he changes us from glory to glory. Our lives should be more like his and our heart should reflect the same.
It is easy to look at others through our own eyes and not the eyes of Christ. This morning as I cleaned my hotel room for the chambermaid that married at 14, couldn’t speak English and used her phone to translate yesterday’s conversation, changed me. I was thankful to have met her and pray for her. I wanted life to be easier for her as I petitioned God on her behalf. Leaving behind family and braving her way to a married life at age 14 in America. There was a day I never thought about who cleaned my room, let alone the burdens they carried. Thank God he does change us from glory to glory.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that your love for us is enough not to leave us the way we are. You change us from glory to glory.
Father, we want to be the change that makes changes around the world. We pray for more of your heart today. We pray for more opportunities and more ways to let the light of Christ shine wherever we may find ourselves.
Father your Word tells us in Ecclesiates that to everything there is a season. May it be a season of change for each of us today. Amen.
