There’s a new danger in an era of online exploitation: a threat to use AI technology to alter innocent photos.
“Who knows, this could be the next trend,” Muskego Police School Resource Officer Chris Kristalidis said Tuesday.
Muskego police learned on Friday that a middle school girl was friended on Snapchat by a supposedly 15-year-old boy, and they exchanged innocent photos. That’s when he revealed he was 33 and demanded explicit photos. More Here

Anugrah Kumar, a contributor with The Christian Post, wrote an article today (10/2/2023) about a recent FBI Public Service Announcement (“PSA”), Alert No. I-091223-PSA, titled Violent Online Groups Extort Minors to Self-Harm and Produce Sexual Abuse Material.
The PSA warns about violent online groups targeting minors on messaging platforms which encourage minors to live-stream acts of self-harm and to produce child sexual abuse material. For prospective members to gain access, they often must live-stream or upload videos onto media sites or mobile applications depicting their minor victims harming animals or committing self-harm, suicide, murder or other acts of violence.
