Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.’ For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, ‘Peace be within you.’
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.” God promised blessings on those who bless Israel and curses on those who curse her
Psalm 122:6-9
The last part of Jerusalem, “salem,” comes from the Hebrew word “shalom,” which means peace, wholeness and completeness.

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Genesis 12:3
Jesus also said that we should be peacemakers, which would include praying for peace.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God”
Matthew 5:9
Jerusalem is where Jesus spent much of His ministry and where He died. The nearby Mount of Olives is the location to which He will return.
Jerusalem and the surrounding areas are the focal point of end time conflict and thus, prophecy.
As God said through the prophet Zechariah:
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples. … I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples”
Zechariah 12:2-3
Pray for Israel!
Many Blessing’s,
