The Heart Of A Missionary…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Monday! A friend and I recently went to purchase some items for the cooler weather we are experiencing. Fall has now arrived. This is her first experience of Maine, winter snow never experienced before, and we set out to prepare her.
Missionaries with the heart of God. Not knowing why God has called, but willing to leave the comfort of a beautiful home, family, children, church, church family and the love of familiarity. Not for money, not for anything other than God has called. I am humbled to be in such a presence.
We sing this song as we make our way down the highway. Jesus closer than a brother were some of the words to the song as I tell my new friend about the many brothers and sisters God has blessed me with. Today, was one of my sister’s birthdays and she now resides in heaven. Life is such a vapor beautiful people. We must not take even one day for granted. I am thankful this morning to know how close Jesus is, closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)
At lunch we meet a family, looking to raise their two boys differently than what was familiar to them. I just happened to have a book of John in my pocketbook as I write my name and number down for another new friend.
I think of a writing I recently penned, What Are You Willing To Do For Jesus? What Are You Willing To Do For Jesus? Angel’s Prayer Of The Day… | For God’s Glory Alone Ministries (fggam.org) I want to do a lot for Jesus, as he has done a lot for me. Make me brave God, truly is my hearts cry. How about you?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for the heart of missionaries. Thank you that some are missionaries right here in our own hometown, some in our nation and others to the nations of the world.
Father, give us assignments that are so much bigger than ourselves and may we take every opportunity to share the good news, the best news known to mankind, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Father, we pray for the peace of Israel this morning. We stand with them and intercede for these beautiful and chosen people and their land. Amen.
