Fox News (and all national news organizations) are reporting that former First Lady Rosalynn Carter died today, with her family by her side at her home in Plains, Georgia. She was 96 and had been admitted to hospice care only two days ago.
Her husband and the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, said that “Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished. She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”
The former first lady is survived by her husband (President Carter), her four children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Despite having faith and great hope in Christ that our precious loved ones are in heaven and that we will be with them again when we are called home, our hearts ache and we sorrow. FGGAM lifts up President Jimmy Carter and his entire family to the Lord. Father, we ask that You would comfort, strengthen and bless the whole family during this time of great sorrow, in Jesus’ name.
Romans 8:38 (NLT)
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
1 Corinthians 15:54-55 (NLT)
“Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
