Newsmax reports that the United States (“US”) launched an airstrike yesterday against a weapons storage facility in eastern Syria linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (“IRG”). The strike involved two F-15 fighters and was in retaliation for the growing number of attacks on US bases in the region over the past several weeks, according to the Pentagon.
The US has carried out at least 40 such attacks since October 17, 2023, with yesterday’s attack being the second time in less than two weeks the US has bombed facilities used by militant groups, including many operating under that the umbrella of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

CNN reports that an unmanned US military drone was shot down yesterday off the coast of Yemen by Houthi forces. The MQ-9 Reaper drone (which is estimated to cost $30 million) was operating in international airspace and over international waters when it was shot down.
Iran-backed Houthi militants took responsibility for the shootdown, which came several weeks after the USS Carney (a US naval warship) intercepted multiple missiles and drones fired by the Houthis along the Red Sea. The USS Carney intercepted and shot down four cruise missiles and 15 drones over a period of nine hours – with the trajectory leaving little doubt that the missiles were headed for Israel.

My brothers and sisters, this may seem simplistic, but the fact of the matter is that the US is ALREADY AT WAR against Middle East militants. The US support to Israel following the devastating October 7, 2023 Iranian-sponsored Hamas attack has already become a “hot” war – it’s just being discretely prosecuted and reported.
Not that long ago, if Middle Eastern countries attacked our forward bases and military personnel on the ground, and shot down our aircraft, it would have been viewed by the POTUS, Congress and US military forces (and appropriately so) as an act of war. The current US administration’s leaders, and its weak foreign and military policies have allowed this situation to develop – especially following the unmitigated disaster of our pull out from Afghanistan.
The situation requires fervent prayer for our nation and our military. Let’s stand against the agenda of the evil one. Pray for Israel to prevail against the evil that is Hamas and all of its Islamic support – including the IRG and militant forces in Iraq, Yemen and elsewhere. Let’s also pray for US leadership to seek the Lord and His wisdom in all of our nation’s decision-making instead of continually relying upon the wisdom of man or the wisdom of the world – which is foolishness in God’s eyes.
