Who Is The Greatest?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. One of my grandsons just got water baptized. I was so excited, and this grandma did a happy dance. As I was reading from Matthew 18 this morning about who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? Jesus called a little child to him, set him in the midst of them, and said Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in my name receives me. Oh, the joy of children and their childlike faith.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that life was your idea. From the birth of Jesus to every child born you have a plan for such a child.
Father, today we pray for the children. We pray a hedge of protection around them. We pray that no harm would come near them. We pray parents will teach their children about Jesus.
Father, you tell us to come with childlike faith. A child will be bold, they will step in the water and believe what you say, when many adults stay on the shore and try to figure it all out. Empower us to be bold for your kingdom.
Father, we pray a special blessing for the children today. May the light within them shine bright and may the love they bring to our world be protected we pray. Amen.
