The Priceless Gift, Not For Sale…
Good morning beautiful people. Happy Sunday! It’s almost Christmas, my favorite time of year. Three of my grandsons and I went shopping. The twenty dollars in their pockets was certainly burning a hole and we set out to spend it.
Did you happen to see the guitar with sounds that are amazing asked one grandson? He knows this grandma is a bargain shopper. Half price he went on to say. They would make their purchase and grandma would pay the difference.
I told them stories of God’s faithfulness and prayed they would be eager to know Jesus in a way that would set their little hearts on fire. He is the best gift, can’t be bought and it cost him everything. That makes this grandma want to shout on this Sunday morning.
My little Buick was full before we ever left our driveway Friday morning, leaving little to no room for anything else. Someday soon, I will need to tell you how we got turned around. My greatest gift to them is prayer and teach and tell them about the Saviour of the World. Jesus, the best gift the world will ever receive. It’s all in the believing.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for the best gift. Journeying every day with you is the greatest gift and we are thankful that you loved us enough to pay the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus the greatest man and name this world has and will ever know.
Father, may your presence fill homes, fill hearts and may an outpouring of your spirit fill the earth this Christmas, we pray. Amen.
