“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16
God’s gift to us was His only Son. He sent him so that we could have life everlasting. That is love in its truest form.
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus the Messiah to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
Also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will.
Ephesians 1:4-4
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Throughout scripture, we learn of God’s love for us. Even though He knew we would not always walk His way, He still chose Calvary in order to save us from eternal separation.
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, remember that it’s his love for us that makes this possible.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14
Jesus became human. He lived among us. He revealed his glory and invites us to himself, personally.
Jesus came as an infant and will return as our King!
Enjoy His day and share with others. Giving selflessly of yourself.
Many Blessings,
Connie.
